Within the next few days, OEM will have posession of a retired ODOT Incident Response vehicle, a Ford F-350 4wd Diesel pickup.

The pickup is being outfitted with full HF capabilities, including a Tarheel Screwdriver Antenna, an ICOM IC 7000 for HF and VHF, A Kenwood TK-790 for Public Service Band and Interop frequencies, and posssibly a separate 2 meter radio.

The pickup's primary purpose is to pull the COOP trailer, which is increasingly being used for public displays to promote disaster readiness and the capabilities of OEM

Also, we're adding Signalinks to the ECC radio Room and the trailer, as well as a 450 watt Tokyo Hi Power amplifier in each. This will give us full digital capabilities, including SSTV and give us more "punch" on at least one of our stations.
